Austin Svancara
Associate Researcher
Biography
Dr. Austin Svancara received his doctoral degree in developmental psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in April 2022. His doctoral research examined transportation barriers and opportunities for users with autism spectrum disorder. Dr. Svancara was a five-time recipient of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship from the Federal Highway Administration between 2017-2021. He worked as a student intern for the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety in the summer of 2018. Dr. Svancara received a bachelor’s degree in behavioral neuroscience from the University of Kansas and master’s degree in developmental psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
