Biography

Brian Tefft joined the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety in 2006. He conducts and manages research on a wide variety of traffic safety issues including driver distraction, drowsiness, and impairment; teenage drivers; pedestrian safety; and driver understanding of new vehicle technologies. His research has been published in scientific journals including Accident Analysis & Prevention, Journal of Safety Research, ITE Journal and others. Tefft holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Brown University.
